Dave graduated from Dordt College, in Sioux Center, IA, with a BA in Theology and minors in both teaching Bible and missions/evangelism. It was during his college years where he sensed God's calling to love those who were marginalized and to serve in the inner-city. He was married to his wife, Laura, in December of 2001, and in August of 2003, they moved to Los Angeles and began working with World Impact. Since then, Dave has been involved with three church plants (Transformations Church of Hollywood, Christ the Victor, Antioch Community Church) and serves on the Member Care Team for World Impact Los Angeles. Dave has served with TUMI-LA for 11 years and has been the Site Coordinator of TUMI-LA for the last five years.
